Hi TCS Sisters (and the brothers who support us),

Let’s talk growth and transition, career growth and transition more specifically, especially through these challenging times of pandemic…

But…there’s so much going on, how can we even begin to think about career growth, especially when so many are losing their jobs and others are watching their careers and businesses plummet under the pressure of non-existing childcare, dwindling finances, and health-related issues?

But…we can either go with the wave of fear and doom, or grow with it. So we’re choosing to grow with it, with some simple yet actionable tips to use this time, its setbacks, challenges but also opportunities (yes, there are opportunities) to move forward:

· Let’s commit to re-assessing and re-evaluating ourselves and our work:

Things don’t always have to stay the same, and that’s exactly what challenges come to show us… What has this time taught you about yourself, your family and the work you do? Did your work take a backseat? Are you questioning your purpose? Is it time for a transition? Did you lose your job, and are summoning the strength to get back out there?

· It’s ok to be vulnerable…

If we’re going to grow through this, we’re going to have to be brave enough to speak our truth. What conversations do you need to have with your loved ones, your managers, your colleagues and team? What do you need to say to yourself in your process?

· But set those boundaries in the process…

Time of crisis also teach us to set some real boundaries so we can move forward…What new expectations do you need to set? What boundaries are you going to set in place, so you can move forward…What type of support are you going to need?
